Besides being an awesome piece of work by Wagner, this is also the title of a book by Nietzsche.
He often called it his greatest work. And it is.
The books' subtitle is: a book for everyone and no-one. Guess you'll have to read it to find out why.
Besides this little history-lesson, the book is packed with 1 word: Uebermensch. Not in the Nazi-form.
But in the sense off: overcome yourself.
That's all. Overcome yourself every day. Strife for better shit, whether it's banging the hot chick in your building block, lifting that heavy-ass weight that has been kicking your ass for the last three weeks or sitting through the complete trilogy of The Fashionistas (which I highly recommend). Just do it, overcome yourself and strife for better shit.
It's the only way of life that is to be taken seriously. It's the only way that will keep you going forward.
And it's certainly with a good dose of selfishness and responsibility. So not for the molluscs amongst us.
Don't believe the preachers and the leeches.
